The Clinical Trials Stakeholder Prioritisation Forum focuses on engaging with the trials community to overcome the barriers to effective use of healthcare systems data in clinical trials and explore how data can be used to improve their efficiency.
As part of HDR UK’s Transforming Data for Trials Programme, the Alliance has established a regular forum for clinical trials stakeholders to discuss the barriers to effective use of healthcare systems data in clinical trials and how these can be addressed.
The Forum facilitates an exchange of ideas between data providers, consumers of trial results and the clinical trials community. This includes prioritising, endorsing, or commissioning research and/or practical guidance on obtaining and using healthcare systems data efficiently, with internationally reliable interpretability.
The aim is to move towards data-enabled trials, which use existing electronic health records to streamline patient recruitment, follow-up, and outcome analysis.
