The UK Health Data Research Alliance in Collaboration with OHDSI UK is pleased to announce the 6th Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting dedicated to the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM). This ongoing series supports a growing UK-wide user community, including those transforming data to OMOP and those using OMOP-converted data for research.
This meeting will bring together the OMOP community to share key updates and foster collaboration around ongoing and future initiatives. It will include a 2025 update from Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) UK, an overview of the Health Data Research OMOP Network (HERON) and its plans for the coming year, and a spotlight on mapping challenges and progress related to the Dictionary of Medicines and Devices. Additionally, the session will explore the integration of maternity and social care data into OMOP, followed by an open discussion to gather suggestions for future OMOP SIG topics and any other business.
We continue to work closely with the UK OHDSI Node and the European Health Data Evidence Network (EHDEN) to strengthen links with the wider OMOP and OHDSI ecosystem.
The meeting will be chaired by Professor Daniel Prieto-Alhambra (OHDSI UK Node co-lead), and we look forward to another engaging and productive session.
